Business Administration

The department of business administration is one of the pioneer departments that commenced at the inception of academic activities in Peter University Achina/Onneh. Ezeafulukwe Emmanuel, Igwe Ifeoma Francisca and Ozor Kenneth Chiagozie were the first set of students to be offered admission into the department for 2022/2023 academic session. Mr Okenu Innocent as the first acting Head of Department worked tirelessly with the support of Rev. Fr. Modestus Anyaegbu to grow the Department. The department continued to grow in strength and number and in 2025 and 2026 were joined by other lecturers.

B.Sc. Business Administration

FOUR-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE

The B.Sc. Business Administration is a robust, four-year undergraduate degree offered by one of Peter University's pioneer departments. The curriculum is meticulously designed to transform students into ethical leaders, innovative entrepreneurs, and strategic corporate managers equipped to navigate the modern global economy.

Year 1 (100 Level)

The Foundation

Students are introduced to the fundamental pillars of commerce. Key courses cover the Principles of Management, Business, Economics, Accounting, and Computing, alongside general studies like Communication Skills and Entrepreneurship.

Year 2 (200 Level)

Core Business Operations

The focus shifts to analytical and operational business functions. Students explore Marketing, Business Statistics, Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Business Law, and emerging trends like Green Management.

Year 3 (300 Level)

Specialization & Contemporary Management

Students dive into specialized organizational roles, covering Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations, and E-Commerce. They also begin their practical research journey through Research Methodology.

Year 4 (400 Level)

Strategy & Real-World Application

The final year is heavily geared towards high-level executive thinking and industry readiness. Courses focus on Strategic Management, International Business, Management Information Systems, and Business Ethics.

Practical & Entrepreneurial Focus
